The grid-connected PV power generation system can convert DC current produced by the solar-cell arrays into AC current with the same voltage amplitude, frequency and phase as that in the grid, and connect with the grid to transmit electricity to the grid. Such power generation system is flexible. When the sunshine is strong, the PV power generation system supplies power to AC load while feeding excess power into the grid; when there is lack of sunlight, that is, when the solar-cell array is unable to provide enough electricity for the loads, such loads can be powered by the grid.
